Educational activities
In the course gArt of Imageh designed for students of all school years, Ito comprehensively deals with inter-media and image expressions. He plans administration of Osaka Inter Medium Institute (IMI), which provides practical education in unifying different genres and collaborations. He also provides directions for Tokyo Art & Architecture & Design (AAD) Studio, which provides urban creative workshops.
Social activities
As a committee member, Ito is involved in Kawasaki City Museum Collection Committee, Sagamihara City Photo Festival Executive Committee, Saito (International Culture Park) Project Committee, Yomiuri Shimbun Reading Committee, NTT Inter-Communication Center Committee, and Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography Executive Committee. He is a supervisor to arrange courses for Osaka Inter Medium Institute, a director of Tokyo AAD Studio, and chairs the Design Committee of Expo 2005 Aichi Japan.
