( JPEG format )An idiochord tube zither. Narrow lengthwise cuts are made on the surface of a bamboo tube. A wedge is inserted under the cuts forming two strings out of the bamboo itself. Between these strings a hole 1 cm in diameter has been made. A piece of bamboo which fits into this hole is attached to the space between the two strings. One end of the bamboo tube corresponds to a node. The other end is capped with a piece of animal skin.
