A boat-shaped plucked lute, the body, neck and tail piece of which are formed from a single hollowed out piece of wood. The back is a separate piece fitted into the body like a lid. Frets positioned under one of the strings are fixed to the body with beeswax. The entire instrument is painted black, with engraved linear patterns in some parts.
