Identical to 467, except that in this case the entire instrument has been coated with Japanese lacquer, a very rare form of ornamentation for a nōkan. Both the lacquerwork itself and the pine-tree motif in gold lacquer on the tip of the blowing end have been finished with great skill and concern for detail. Covered with a specially crafted rattan.
