Held vertically. A small piece of wood which forms a duct leading to the flue hole is tied on with a leather cord. The lower end is carved into the shape of a bird's head. There are four small holes just above the carving. Played by men when courting, either for individual enjoyment or for accompaniment to dancing and singing. The example in this collection is made for sale as a souvenir.
