A wooden pipe with a conical bore and a small cane reed. The player holds the instrument in vertical position and covers the reed portion entirely with his mouth. By circular breathing technique a continuous loud sound can be produced. The instrument is used for wedding and ceremonial dance music, and is often played outdoors together with a drum.
