A double clarinet comprised of two lengths of reed pipe. One pipe is approximately 30 cm in length and is used for playing the melody, while the other plays a drone. Two removable pieces of reed are attached to the drone pipe. A vibrating reed is made by cutting a U-shaped incision into the thin reed. The player inserts the entire reed section into his mouth and plays by means of a circular breathing technique. Used for festive dances and folk song accompaniment.
