Also called mizwidj. Two parallel reed pipes, fastened together at the top and bottom with string over which coal tar has been applied as a hardener. A thin piece of reed from which a lamella has been cut out is inserted into each of the two pipes. The lamella is made to protrude somewhat by means of a piece of hair, wedged in at the base. The player inserts the entire reed portion into his mouth and blows continuously by means of a circular breathing technique.
