For the exhibition TURN on the EARTH ~ I am an echo of the earth ~, we applied 21 colors of transparent fabrics (with a total length of approximately 600m) in the entire exhibition room (530㎡) to create ten resonant spaces. In these spaces, the works of ten groups of artists who have participated in TURN (1) overseas are showcased. Based on the interactive activities that had been carried out locally, each artist ran a series of workshops in Japan with DOOR (2) students, through which new artworks were produced. By implementing AR (augmented reality) in these resonance spaces to show how the actual projects were done overseas, we are also trying to create a new form of exhibition where visitors can experience the interaction occurring in TURN more immersively. In addition, anyone is always welcome to access and enjoy online content that allows the viewer, regardless of location and time, to create the same works as those exhibited at the museum.

1) TURN: https://turn-project.com/
TURN is an art project that brings about interaction in expressive form through encounters among diverse people, transcending differences in customs and backgrounds such as disabled/non-disabled, different generations, genders, nationalities and living environments. TURN was launched in 2015 as one of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's leading projects in the cultural program of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Since 2017, it has been implemented as part of the Tokyo 2020 Cultural Olympiad. It has been carried out, not only in Japan, but also in six countries around the world (Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Cuba and Poland), and now we are preparing for projects in Taiwan and Austria.

2) DOOR (Diversity on the Arts Project): http://door.geidai.ac.jp/
DOOR (Diversity on the Arts Project) is an educational project organized by Tokyo University of the Arts that develops human resources who support "a society in which diverse people can live together" under the theme of "art x welfare". It was launched in 2017, with the aim of creating a new art form for the future.
