Change in Academic Calendar 2020

In response to the declaration of emergency by the Japanese government, the Tokyo University of the Arts has decided to close all campus premises until Wednesday, May 6, 2020, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, further to protect the health of all members of the university. No one is allowed to access any campus premises (UENO, YOKOHAMA, TORIDE, and SENJU). 

To all students:

Given the spread of COVID-19 in Tokyo, we would like to makethe following announcement regarding the schedule for April 2020.
Please note, however, as the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to evolve daily, we may need to amend the schedule inaccordance with policies made at both national and local levels.
Due to the fluid nature of this situation, university decisions will need to be made and announced quickly. Please check the university websitefor any updates on a day to day basis.

1. Schedule for April 2020 and thereafter, as of April 8, 2020

(1)University has decided to extend the period of campus closure.
 Students are not allowed to access any campus buildings during the period between April 1 and May 6. This period may be extended according to the situation in Tokyo.
(2)Dates for medical check-up in April have been changed. New schedule will be announced when decided.
(3)University has changed the start date of the first semester to May 11 (Monday).
(4)A detailed schedule can be found below. (Subject to change as needed.)

2.During the period of campus closure

(1)Check the university website every day. >>Website

(2)We request that all students check their temperature every day and watch out for any change in their health.

 ・Use the Self-Health Checklist to record your temperature, etc. >> Checklist
 ・If you have cold-like symptoms or a temperature of 37.5°C or higher, stay at home.
 ・If your cold-like symptoms or temperature of 37.5°C or higher persists for four days or longer, please consult the Consultation Center for people with potential COVID-19 exposure and report your condition to the university as well. >>form
