Following the decision to cancel the graduation ceremony as noticed on the university website and the university-wide e-mail, we are providing the following information on the method of delivery of degree certificates, etc. and other procedures.
The same content is also provided to the student himself/herself by e-mail.
Even during the period of limited campus access, an exception will be made for those coming to the campus (on weekdays only) for the purpose described here, provided that the student makes sure to return home as soon as the task is completed. 1. Degree certificates, diplomas, and teaching credentials (to be issued only for those who have applied for the bundle application), etc. will be issued in exchange for the completed “Survey on preferred method of receiving your diploma or certificate/Post-Graduation Activity Survey.”
Please fill in and submit the mailed survey forms or the web forms sent via e-mail by March 18 (Wednesday).

2. Be sure to select either (1) or (2) below when responding to the “Survey on preferred method of receiving your diploma or certificate.”
(1) Request the university to send by mail the documents to the address provided in the survey. *Be sure to fill in the address at which you wish to receive them.
(2) Visit the school and receive in person at the specified date, time, and place.
3. Option (1): If you choose to receive your degree certificate by mail
– The university will send out the degree certificate for those wishing to receive it by mail all at once in mid-late April to the address provided in the survey that arrived by the deadline. If the submission of the survey cannot be confirmed within the deadline, the university will be unable to deliver the degree certificate by mail as scheduled.
4. Option (2): If you choose to visit the school and receive your degree certificate in person
– The documents will be issued as shown in the list. The date, time and place vary depending on the faculty or graduate school in which the student is enrolled.
– In the case that the date of delivery is specified by the major, etc., please come on the designated date as much as possible in order to avoid congestion. When it is difficult to come on the specified day, it is possible to come on any day during the period specified by the faculty or graduate school in which the student is enrolled.
If the student is unable to visit the school within the delivery period or place of his /her faculty or department, please choose “send by mail.”
– If the student has fever, cough, or other illness on the day of delivery, he /she should not come to school and please contact the university by telephone or e-mail by the end of March.

This is a measure to respond to the cancellation of this academic year’s graduation ceremony and is applicable only to those who graduate as of March 25, 2020. Note that the same measure does not apply to those who graduated before that date.

The student ID card should be destroyed in a responsible manner. Unauthorized use of a student ID card that has already expired is strictly prohibited. *If the student has chosen to receive the diploma, etc. in person within the specified period, he /she may bring it at that time.

If the student has not submitted the Post-Graduation Activity Survey by March 18 (Wednesday), the Student Affairs Division will send a reminder. If we are unable to contact the person in question, we will consult with the office of the relevant major or the guarantor.

In the case where the student did not receive his/her degree certificate in the manner specified here, he/she should consult his/her faculty or graduate school staff directly about how to receive it in or after May (postage will be borne by the student if he/she wishes to send it by mail in or after May). Please note that we will not be able to respond to any request during April. Even in this case, submit the Post-Graduation Activity Survey by the due date.
– Certificates of graduation and completion
It is available from March 26 (Thursday). Those who need certificates are required to apply in advance at the counter of the Educational Affairs Section of the Faculty or Graduate School they attended.. Certificates applied for in advance can be delivered together with their diploma.
* Check the time it takes before the delivery at each contact point.
The certificates will not be issued by the automatic certificate issuing machine.
– Transcripts and Grade Report
Transcripts with results of the latter half (Second Semester) of AY2019 will be available on or after March 16 (Monday) only to graduating students. However, the transcript with the graduation/completion date will be available only from March 26 (Thursday). If the students need any certificates, they must apply in advance at the counter of the Educational Affairs Section of the Faculty or Graduate School they attended. Certificates applied for in advance can be delivered together with their diploma.
Grade reports stating the results for the second half (Second Semester) of AY2019 will be delivered uniformly together with the degree certificate.
– Automatic certificate issuing machine and CampusPlan
Graduating students can use the machine /system until March 25 (They cannot use the machine/system after March 26 onward.).
– Other notes
Since the accounts of graduates will be removed, the following items will not be available from March 26 (Thursday) onward.
(1) Geidai Mail (Gmail) and accompanying Google services (Contacts, Google Drive, Calendar, etc.)
(2) Any service available after login using the Geidai Account (Library Information Service, Wireless LAN connection, VPN connection, etc.)
– Pickup of personal belongings, etc. left in the offices, lockers, club rooms, etc.
– Return of books, materials, etc. borrowed from libraries, etc./Return of items borrowed from the university
– Pickup / unloading of works, etc.
– Requirements as instructed by teachers, offices, etc.
– If you have an appointment with the university’s Health Care Service Center or student counselor on or before March 25 (Wednesday)
