（学長メッセージ）ガザ地区における人道危機に寄せて / (Message from President Hibino)Addressing the Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

東京藝術大学は、ガザ地区において未だに人道状況が改善せず、国際人道法に反して多くの女性、子ども、高齢者を含む市民の命が危険に晒され、失われている状況に深い憂いと強い憤りを抱いています。
一日も早く戦闘が終結し、ガザに暮らす人々に平和が訪れることを強く願います。

東京藝術大学では、芸術は生きる力である、と考え、これからも一人一人の個性や尊厳を認め合う芸術の役割と力を信じ、すべての人が幸福に暮らせる社会の実現に向け、教育研究活動を推進していきます。

Tokyo University of the Arts is deeply saddened and angered by the lack of improvement to humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, which is resulting in the endangerment and loss of life for civilians, including many women, children and senior citizens, in violation of international humanitarian law. We hope that the ceasefire will be achieved immediately and that peace will come to the people living in Gaza.

At Tokyo University of the Arts, we conceive of the Arts as zest for living and we will continue to believe in the role and power of the Arts in recognising the uniqueness and dignity of each individual, and will continue to promote educational and research activities toward the realisation of a society in which all people live in peace and happiness.
